Terrifier 3, Written and Directed by Damien Leone, was a fun film to be a part of. I was hired by Jason Baker of Callosum Studios for sculpting and onset application of the makeup appliances for the Iron Clad Demon character portrayed by Michel Vidal. We got to work alongside Oscar winning makeup artist John Cagliogne Jr. which for me was a career highlight thus far. I was responsible for the the demon’s chest, back, and arm sculpts. John Cagliogne Jr. sculpted the demon’s head and made the dentures for Michel to wear, and Jason Baker sculpted his mask. All 3 of us were involved with the onset application. I helped in the effort to stiffen the wardobe for the Virgin Mary character portrayed by Juliana Lamia. I also had the honor to lightly assist John Caglione Jr. with the Virgin Mary makeup application . Virgin Mary Makeup was sculpted by John Cagliogne Jr. All makeup appliances were casted in Foam Latex by Callosum Studios and John Cagliogne Jr. for the Iron Clad Demon and Virgin Mary Statue characters.
I also had a hand in the fabrication and onset handling of the prop chainsaw which utilized 3D scanning the provided unuasble real chainsaw, creating a 3D Printed shell that fit over a smaller electric chainsaw, and making it functional but safe for everyone while durable enough to have a sword fight with. All the chainsaws teeth were grinded away until it was safe to touch so there would be no accidental injuries. Then it was painted to look identical to the provided unusable gas chainsaw. The prop was designed by Jason Baker. Scanning, and 3D Printing was done by Topher Wescott, then assembly, fabrication, painting and finishing and onset handling was done by myself. I also had a hand designing the freeze gun with Jason Baker, and in painting a number of other prop weapons such as safety axes, safety mallets and armor pieces.
